Its roughly this time of year that everyone starts banging on about Dublin. Which is fair enough...Dublin is great, and there is a certain festival happening this saturday, something to do with a bloke called Patrick.
More bizarrely, over in Inis Mor -one of the tiny Aran Islands off the west coast- a rather hillarious fuss has been made of the recent TedFest event- commemorating the life of Father Ted star Dermot Morgan. Read an article about TedFest here.
Well we at Youngin Europe can't help feeling a bit sorry for Galway, arguably Ireland's coolest city, routinely overshadowed by Dublin, and now by its tiny offshore neighbour. Galway has an intoxication cosmopolitan past (literally- it was a Spanish wine and sherry port)...and continues to live up ot its billing with a smashing party scene.
